WHOIS ARS Testing Criteria

ARS will report syntactic accuracy of the contact data in a WHOIS record based on the contractual requirements of the applicable Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA).

For example:
Syntactical Validation: Is the record correctly formatted? Is there an @ symbol in the email? Is there a country code in the telephone number?
Operability Validation: Does the email go through? Does the phone ring? Will the mail be delivered?
